Pluck ambrosia from vines
and drink grape wine from his jiggling cleavage
pouring open from his broken, arrow staken heart
imagine kindergarten, gluing red and pink construction paper hearts
to shoeboxes
little fingers and thumbs
give tidings of
quote, unquote
love
and simple charity
very cute its insincerity
play dumb
a quill of arrows in tow
I track the cherub below
from elevated position
hoping for a certain easy mortal blow
I am owed a pennance
to this bloated piglet stealing hearts
from good logic
a cupid full of arrows is a
cupid full of love
play dumb

This album would be more aptly named "Hits From The Bow II: Hits From The Stern". It so hearkens back to that first album that changed the face of experimental metal. I can't believe I missed this 6 years ago, but I'm so glad it exists. 10/10. brineryte
Brilliantly unhinged hardcore-inspired songs that splinter expectations to smithereens with their split-second rhythm changes & wild vocals. Bandcamp New & Notable Nov 28, 2022
Polish trio Melisa combine elements of noise rock, grindcore, mathcore, and sludge with lyrics that balance between poetic and political. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 21, 2022

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
